Assumptions

All assumptions made for installation of a OSR sharedroot cluster are described here

Assumptions

All those assumption are filled in with example values. Please adapt them to your specific environment and change them wherever necessary.

Clusterassumptions

  1. All clusters are two node clusters consisting of two nodes called node1 and node2
  2. node1 and node2 resolve - via /etc/hosts - to IP-Addresses specified in the referenced tables below.
  3. If a cluster is used no aditional cluster fencing is defined. Please configure if need be to your requirements.

Storageassumptions

  1. All sharedroot filesystems will be mounted on the installation node to /mnt/newroot.
  2. The storagedevice for the sharedroot filesystem will always be /dev/sdb and the filesystem will be written on the disk as it is (only for GFS1, GFS2 and OCFS2)
  3. The boot files will always be located at /mnt/newroot/boot
  4. If the boot files reside on their own filesystem (only for GFS1, GFS2 and OCFS2) this will be found at /dev/sda with /dev/sda1 as first active partition
  5. If need be the NFS-Server for the root filesystemn has the IP-Address 192.168.122.1 (Only for NFS)
  6. The NFS-Export will be /srv/share/nfsosr/cluster1/root
